Bienvenidos a la interpretación en audio de Las Tradiciones Peruanas, esta es la obra, de los escritos de don Ricardo Palma, periodista, escritor y político peruano.  Fue la figura más significativa del romanticismo hispanoamericano, y uno de los literatos costumbristas mejor dotados del siglo XIX.

Autor de Las Tradiciones Peruanas, relatos cortos narrados de forma entretenida y con el lenguaje propio de la época, repleto de refranes, proverbios y coplas, con critica jocosa a instituciones políticas y religiosas. Las primeras tradiciones, fueron publicadas como artículos, en diarios y revistas de la época y son las narraciones de sucesos históricos, que tienen sustento en archivos o documentos, que Ricardo Palma recopiló en el archivo general de la nación, y la biblioteca nacional del Perú y que fueron publicadas desde 1872, hasta 1906.

Amigos oyentes, os invitamos a escuchar, estas tradiciones y trasladarnos imaginariamente, al Perú virreynal, y republicano, enriquecido con humor, ironía y fantasía del autor.
